The Corkscrew Rally™
The first Corkscrew Rally™ took place in June 2026 and by all accounts was a great success. I'm now in the process of planning the next rallies for 2027 and considering some new formats also.

What's it all about?
Having organised my own wedding in France a number of years ago, I wanted to recreate that same atmosphere of a small destination wedding, but as a motorcycle tour. To achieve this, I invite people I know and their trusted friends, ensuring we have a fantastic group dynamic from day one. Capping the trip at 20 people means it’s large enough to meet new faces, but intimate enough that it doesn’t restrict our options for riding, eating, or staying.
The five-day format is designed with flexibility in mind. It gives you time to travel there and back within a single week, or it can serve as a stress-free break from route planning if you are incorporating it into your own larger motorcycle trip.
During the day, you have total freedom. I provide carefully planned daily routes, but you ride at your own pace. Whether you want to join a group, ride solo, or even hit some trails, everyone can do their own thing. I provide a recommended list of hotels for each stop, allowing you to book whatever fits your budget and preferences. In the evenings, after everyone has checked in, we all meet up to share stories over a great dinner.
Throughout the trip, we'll visit vineyards as we carve through different wine regions. Drawing on my wine background, I'll put on some evening tastings and select interesting bottles to pair with dinner.
Ultimately, it's all about meeting nice people, riding incredible roads, eating well, and trying some great wines.

Past Rallies
2026 - The Barolo Scramble
The Barolo Scramble was the inaugural rally, a five-day event starting in the Jura wine region of France and finishing in Italy's Barolo region.
A group of 19 of us met in Arbois, Jura, kicking the trip off with a local winery visit and a welcome dinner. From there, we spent three days riding through the Jura and the Alps, carving through many of the highest passes in Europe along the Route des Grandes Alpes. We wrapped things up with a rest day in Barolo, spending our downtime visiting vineyards and exploring the beautiful wine villages of the Langhe region.
